Psychogenic erection is erection that occurs solely based on arousal in the brain e.g. through hearing, seeing, feeling or fantasy (erotic thoughts). Psychogenic erection is penile tumescence with resulting increase in size and firmness of the penis that occurs without physical stimulation, which in usual circumstances should be adequate to allow penetration.
